The Cupcakes...

Whilst I was making gingerbead men in mass production I also had the idea to make cupcakes for my friends and family that were girls!

Within my cupcakes I have strawberry pot pourri currently, so they are more like a smelly all my friends use them as air fresheners for their cars, or to put in their underwear draws!

I do enjoy making the cupcakes and as they are always on show in my friends and family's cars it is nice to see them hanging there, something that I have created and is not just left laying around creating dust..

Here are 3 different cupcakes I made, a variety of colours, I do tend to stick with pinks and purples with red cherries however my friend has got a limited edition red and white cupcake with a red cherry - I need to get a pic of this to share..

This one I made last night especially for my Nanny Pat...

Gingerbread Men..

Since the first sock monkey, I seem to have caught the bug!

I wanted to make more things but was unsure where to start so I looked on Hobby Crafts website for ideas and came across gingerbread men!

So I bought all the materials and started... these were the first gingerbread men to be made...(ohh and a snowman!)

As I enjoyed making my gingerbread men soo much, I decided to make everybody one for Christmas... this resulted in me making around forty odd which was like mass production!

A few of these looked like this, I was personalising the gingerbread men for their owners...

As I was making my gingerbread men practically everywhere I went I was starting to get people request them and asking for specific things like a mechanic with a spanner in one hand for my van..

Or an RAC man for my RAC van...

I haven't put any gingerbread men on ebay as of yet but if you do have any ideas on a gingerbread man that you would like personalised, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Sock Monkey Number One...

So this is the culprit for helping me find my creative streak, he took me about 5 hours to make and kept me the quietest I've ever been! The boyfriend and family were rather impressed at my new found silenced concentration...

This sock monkey I got from Accesorize for £7 but then found that they only done one colour so the best place to purchase is the original creator in Cornwall, you can find his page on notonthehighstreet! He also includes sweets to keep you occupied in his little goody bag!

The sewing on these isnt great as it was my first attempt, it was in about November when we had all that bloody snow...

His mouth is a bit of a shambles but I've since improved on this so not to worry...

Welcome to my blog...

I'm quite new to this but after wanting to follow a couple of blogs I realised I had to be a registered member or one thing or another and ended up with my own blog!

I really enjoy being creative in my spare time, mainly making felt objects, however I have painted some bird houses and am looking into making some jewellery so we shall see where this leads...

I started off making a sock monkey which you can buy from Not On The High Street I loved making this and what withh the cold weather and the snow I started to making different things, first of all gingerbread men for Christmas presents then smelly cupcakes for girls and have since moved on to Easter projects...

I have started to sell some of my creations on ebay so feel free to have a look and purchase if you like, Items I have already made I can make in different colours and personalise as you prefer!
