April update..

Wow - I really am a bad blogger!! I haven't posted in ages, however I have been being creative..

I've made lots more hearts and cupcakes, which I thoroughly enjoy making, pics below to show some new designs..

BUT...

My best creative side has been going into my buntings..

Here is a bunting I made for a lady in pastel colors saying memories.. (The picture isn't brilliant but I had to take it quickly as I needed to send it in the post)

I have also made a bunting as my sisters 5th birthday is coming up so I'm sure she will be pleased with this..

It was quite hard getting the whole bunting in the picture so I hung it with it dipping low in the middle..

Also I made a Happy Birthday Bunting in some blues and purples for a different theme as most have been quite girly

Thats all I have at the min..

I will post an update of my designs as I have a few buntings to make, I also update twitter and Flickr as I am creating and once something is finished - Luxuries of an iPhone!

Pillows, cupcakes & Hearts...

I haven't posted for a while.. I've been busy making things..

After my butterfly pillow, I thought that I could make some more, it was my Nan's birthday on Thursday so I made her a pillow, she loves her Garden so i kind of tried to put aspects of her garden into her pillow...(I wasn't as pleased with it as I was with the butterfly one)

I have also been busy making a job lot of cupcakes and hearts as I need a fair bit of stock if I'm going to set up a stall somewhere!

Also bought some new bits and pieces so looking forward to their arrival!!

Shrove Tuesday...

Last night was Shrove Tuesday, my brother asked why we actually have Pancake day and as sad as it is I had to google the answer (don't you just love a bit of google)
So for those of you who don't know why its celebrated the day before ash Wednesday(today) and is therefore the final day before the commencement of Lent a Christian festival leading up to Easter.
Lent is a time of abstinence, of giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge yourself, and to use up the foods that aren't allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs which were forbidden during lent! - So now you know!!

Any way after the pancakes..(above)

I got down to my creative stuff, I finished off all my hearts that I started making the night before and tied three together and hung it on my door...

But then decided that I didn't like it there, so I moved it to my light switch...

After making this I then made my brother a star, stuffed with Rosemary as it actually smells like lavender and he reckoned he had a bunged up nose and this would help him! Stitching isn't great as I was rushed to make it before his bed time haha!

Then I set myself a ten minute task.. I decided to make an Easter bag/pouch, in fairness it actually took about thirteen to finish and isn't perfect but its an idea, something to work on - I'm thinking of adding ribbon as straps and putting a couple of eggs in for my little sister for Easter..

Also had a little twist on my cupcakes last night (I really did have a creative roll!!)

Monday's creativeness...

I was sat in the front room with the family and I decided that it was time to make something out of my special felt(the felt that costs a little bit more as it has a pattern) So I told Dad that I wanted a heart template printed(as he was on the pc) I only had to ask 3 times, but once he done it and Id asked for a bigger size... I was soon cutting it out and then cutting my felt out... As mum said to me that I could make more if I did the back a different colour, so I cut out six pink and white polka dot hearts from an a4 sheet and six white with glitter hearts... I then sewed a white and silver ribbon on to the white sides...

I then sewed up the seams with a blanket stitch and stuffed the first one with stuffing that had been soaked in rosemary oil since Saturday, so now smells lovely - Mum was really impressed as the first one I gave to her. I'm not a massive fan of this smell so the second one I stuffed with just stuffing and hung on my door handle, very impressed...

I didn't get a chance to sew up the other four but I'm planning on doing that tonight...

I've also got red polka dot felt and a zebra print felt which I can't think of something pretty enough to use it for... So any ideas are much appreciated!
