April update..

Wow - I really am a bad blogger!! I haven't posted in ages, however I have been being creative..

I've made lots more hearts and cupcakes, which I thoroughly enjoy making, pics below to show some new designs..

BUT...

My best creative side has been going into my buntings..

Here is a bunting I made for a lady in pastel colors saying memories.. (The picture isn't brilliant but I had to take it quickly as I needed to send it in the post)

I have also made a bunting as my sisters 5th birthday is coming up so I'm sure she will be pleased with this..

It was quite hard getting the whole bunting in the picture so I hung it with it dipping low in the middle..

Also I made a Happy Birthday Bunting in some blues and purples for a different theme as most have been quite girly

Thats all I have at the min..

I will post an update of my designs as I have a few buntings to make, I also update twitter and Flickr as I am creating and once something is finished - Luxuries of an iPhone!

Mothers Day... Creativeness latest..

Happy Mothers Day!!

So what have I been up to... making quite a few bits and bobs actually! Although I did get my nails done yesterday(false ones) and then worried that I may not be able to sew anymore :s However I have jut sewn up a heart and I got on fine so I don't have that to worry about! Phew!

Pre nail sewing....

I have been making a Mothers Day bunting all week (secretly so that it was a suprise for my Mum)

To confirm - it went down well, she loved it!

Also been testing out some fabric pens...

I could get used to using these... they don't dry too quickly though I have noticed, also need a steady hand!

I also decided to make my four year old sister (well 4 and 3/4 shes almmost five you know - as I get reminded quite frequently) a pillow for her bedroom, I haven't finished sewing up and stuffing yet..

This first pic is of me cutting out the letters from some pretty fabrics... I bought my wooden templates in Hobbycraft I also bought some numbers too so they wil come in handy for birthday presents!

I wasn't 100% happy with the finished product, I thought it needed something in the left hand corner, however Grace said that she likes it as it is, so it is currently being sewn up and stuffed!

I wanted to add some buttons... I will see if anything happens between now and final product! I will add picture of the finished pillow on Grace's bed!

Last weekend I encouraged Mum and my Brother George to help me in my mass production of cupcakes so here is a couple of pics...

All of the above are currently unstuffed so that when there owners do realise that they want them(hehe future customers) they will be able to decide whether they want it to smell of not!!

If you are interested in purchasing a cupcake on ebay click here

If you have anything that you think I might like to make share your skills, I'm loving picking up new skills and spending hours engrossed in my sewing box and lost in my creative zone!!

Shrove Tuesday...

Last night was Shrove Tuesday, my brother asked why we actually have Pancake day and as sad as it is I had to google the answer (don't you just love a bit of google)
So for those of you who don't know why its celebrated the day before ash Wednesday(today) and is therefore the final day before the commencement of Lent a Christian festival leading up to Easter.
Lent is a time of abstinence, of giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge yourself, and to use up the foods that aren't allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs which were forbidden during lent! - So now you know!!

Any way after the pancakes..(above)

I got down to my creative stuff, I finished off all my hearts that I started making the night before and tied three together and hung it on my door...

But then decided that I didn't like it there, so I moved it to my light switch...

After making this I then made my brother a star, stuffed with Rosemary as it actually smells like lavender and he reckoned he had a bunged up nose and this would help him! Stitching isn't great as I was rushed to make it before his bed time haha!

Then I set myself a ten minute task.. I decided to make an Easter bag/pouch, in fairness it actually took about thirteen to finish and isn't perfect but its an idea, something to work on - I'm thinking of adding ribbon as straps and putting a couple of eggs in for my little sister for Easter..

Also had a little twist on my cupcakes last night (I really did have a creative roll!!)

Cupcake doorstop ideas... Help!?

Ok so when I first started out with the creative thing Mum decided that she was also creative!? However she often starts things and gets bored..

So she had high hopes and big ambitions of making a cup cake door stop, however stopped halfway through!

I have now decided to finish it for her (as I would quite like a cupcake doorstop for my bedroom door) I've added pics below, I'm just wondering if anybody has any tips, suggestions or help!? - Thanks is advance!!

Welcome...

Welcome to my blog...

I'm quite new to this but after wanting to follow a couple of blogs I realised I had to be a registered member or one thing or another and ended up with my own blog!

I really enjoy being creative in my spare time, mainly making felt objects, however I have painted some bird houses and am looking into making some jewellery so we shall see where this leads...

I started off making a sock monkey which you can buy from Not On The High Street I loved making this and what withh the cold weather and the snow I started to making different things, first of all gingerbread men for Christmas presents then smelly cupcakes for girls and have since moved on to Easter projects...

I have started to sell some of my creations on ebay so feel free to have a look and purchase if you like, Items I have already made I can make in different colours and personalise as you prefer!
